Rukhmabai Balikashram has been providing residential care and protection for vulnerable tribal girls since 2007 in Sorapada, Akkalkuwa Block, Nandurbar District. Over the past 17 years, the Children's Home has supported 2,000+ orphaned, semi-orphaned, abandoned, and at-risk girls by offering safe shelter, nutrition, education support, healthcare, counselling, life-skills, family restoration, and aftercare services. Many girls have progressed through school, vocational training, and higher education, and several have successfully completed college from RFN institutions and secured employment in hospitals, schools, industries, and service sectors, demonstrating strong long-term impact.
